Hello!Welcome to the new look monthly(ish) update from My So-Called Career. I’m sure you’ll agree it’s quite the glow up! 💥 A huge thank you to Miko, Celine, Kirsty and my mate Dave for their help and endless patience in getting me here. It was not a smooth journey, and there have been many moments along the way where I have been tempted to throw my toys firmly out of the pram and give up on the idea completely. The numerous setbacks (and believe me when I say there have been too many to count) have been a real test of my resilience as I grappled with frustration, fixed mindset and multiple sense of humour failures. It’s fair to say things went so far from according to plan that I needed to buy a whole new map… so it is no coincidence that this month’s book giveaway is the ultimate guide to resilience, written by a woman who has had an amazing impact on my own so-called career. Dr Susan Kahn was the director of my post grad certificate in coaching psychology and among many other things, she helped me see that resilience is as much about the little things that repeatedly nudge you off course as it is the huge things that cause you to slam into a wall at force.
